I could not believe the line ups to get in. We only waited 10 minutes to get in and it was well worth seeing the Statue of David. We would not have seen him otherwise. I heard the line ups without reservations were about 1 to 2 hours!

we visited italy in late feb/early march 2003 and

did a trip to tuscany with Holidays in Tuscany Wine tours. our guide and driver, Maurizio, was excellent!!!

he was interesting to talk to, his english was just fine, and he was able to translate for us when we had questions or wanted to make purchases.

We were able to visit some wonderful wineries in montalcino and montepulciano because of maurizio's knowledge of the area. It was great not to worry about directions or drinking and driving issues.

we saw some beautiful countryside and had some great wine. we also went to a wonderful sheep farm in pienza where we tasted & purchased some pecorino cheese right from the source!!! bella, bella, bella :-)

we will be sure to tour with maurizio again when we return to italy, his services were worth our time and money :-)
